“Let’s Normalize Not Being Okay (Because Honestly, It Happens)”

“Let’s Normalize Not Being Okay (Because Honestly, It Happens)”

There’s a lot of pressure to always be “fine.”

“How are you?”
“Good!” (even when you’re absolutely not)

Let’s change that.

Mental health includes bad days, low energy, and moments where you just don’t feel like yourself. That doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human.

Signs you might need to check in with yourself:

  • You feel emotionally drained all the time

  • Things that used to excite you feel like a chore

  • You’re withdrawing from people

Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Ignoring your feelings doesn’t make them go away. It just makes them louder later.

What if we normalized saying:

  • “I’m having a rough day”

  • “I need some time to recharge”

  • “I’m not okay right now, but I’m working on it”

Being honest about your mental health doesn’t make you weak—it makes you aware.

And awareness? That’s where change starts.

This month, try one thing:
Check in with yourself like you would with a friend. Be kind, be honest, and don’t rush the process.

You don’t have to have it all together to be making progress.
